This combination of both chemical and biological facilities allows us to rapidly assess the biological significance of chemical compounds.

The synthesis lab enables us to create and manipulate compounds from mycobacteria, with an emphasis on mycolic acids and their sugar esters.

On a small to medium scale we are able to produce highly defined mycolic acids with high stereochemical purity.
